THE PRODUCT

What's included in the Highcountry Cook System?

The Highcountry Stove, titanium pot with removable WindGuard, folding titanium spork, two free fuel canisters, and a microfiber towel. Everything nests inside the pot for transport.

How much does the full system weigh?

10 ounces total. Stove: 2.8 oz. Pot with WindGuard: 5.5 to 6.3 oz. Folding spork: 0.96 oz.

What's the boil time?

2 minutes 45 seconds for 16 ounces of water under standard conditions. Performance varies with wind, temperature, and altitude.

How many boils can I get from one fuel canister?

12 to 16 boils per 110g canister depending on conditions. Cold weather and high altitude reduce efficiency.

What's it made of?

Titanium throughout. Pot, WindGuard, and spork are all titanium. The stove uses a stainless steel burner with titanium components. No aluminum, no plastic parts.

Where is it designed and made?

Designed and tested in Fort Collins, Colorado. Manufactured in China and South Korea by partners with decades of stove and titanium cookware experience.

FUEL & PERFORMANCE

What fuel does it use?

Any standard isobutane fuel canister with a 7/16 inch threaded valve. Compatible with most major fuel brands sold at outdoor retailers.

How cold can I run it?

Reliable performance down to 0°F with our 4-season fuel regulator. Below that, performance drops as canister pressure decreases. Sleep with your canister to keep it warm in extreme cold.

Will it work at high altitude?

Tested up to 13,500 feet. The system performs reliably across the elevations most North American backcountry hunters operate in.

Can I fly with the stove?

The stove itself can fly in checked or carry-on baggage as long as it's clean and shows no signs of fuel use. Fuel canisters cannot fly under any circumstances. Plan to buy fuel at your destination.

How do I dispose of empty canisters?

Burn off any remaining fuel until the canister is fully empty. Most outdoor retailers and recycling centers accept empty isobutane canisters. Pack them out and recycle.

ORDERS & SHIPPING

When will my order ship?

We ship within 1 business day of order. Standard ground delivery to the lower 48 takes 3 to 5 business days from when we ship.

Why does everything ship ground?

Fuel canisters are classified as hazardous materials and ship ground only. Since the system includes 2 free canisters, the full order ships ground.

Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

Yes, but with two limitations. Fuel canisters cannot ship to Alaska or Hawaii due to hazmat restrictions. Customers in these states will receive the stove, pot, WindGuard, and spork only, and pay an upcharge on shipping. Buy fuel locally.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Fuel canisters cannot ship internationally. Customers receive the stove, pot, WindGuard, and spork only, and are responsible for any duties or import taxes.

Can I ship to a PO Box?

No. Hazmat fuel canisters cannot be delivered to PO Boxes. Use a physical street address at checkout.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive a tracking number by email when your order ships. You can also track any order at our order tracking page.

RETURNS & WARRANTY

What's your return policy?

30-day satisfaction guarantee. If the system doesn't work for you, return it within 30 days for a full refund of the product cost. Field-tested products are accepted as long as use is limited and the product is returned in usable condition.

Customer covers return shipping on satisfaction returns. Refunds are issued to the original payment method or as store credit, your choice.

Can I return fuel canisters?

No. Fuel canisters are hazmat and cannot be returned. Keep any unused canisters from your order.

THE COMPANY

Who is Roughridge Stove Co.?

A hunter-owned brand based in LaPorte, Colorado. Founded by brothers Josh and Chris Neville. We build cooking equipment specifically for backcountry hunters because nobody else was.

Why hunters and not campers?

Camping and backcountry hunting are different sports with different demands. Camping cook systems are built for car campsites and weekend trips. Hunters operate at altitude, in cold, in wind, with weight that matters and conditions that don't forgive cheap equipment. We built a system designed for those conditions, not adapted to them.
